Toolvetta

QR Code Generator

A QR code generator turns a link, text or Wi-Fi login into a square code that phones can scan. Choose URL, Text or Wi-Fi, fill in the details and download the code as PNG or SVG. Toolvetta makes static QR codes, so they never expire, need no account and don’t track scans.

Runs in your browser. Your files and text are not uploaded.

Higher levels survive damage but make denser codes.
Whole pixels per square keep edges sharp.

A static QR code: the content is stored in the code itself, so it never expires and nothing is tracked. Dark on light scans best.

QR Code Generator: frequently asked questions

Choose URL, paste the full address starting with https:// and download the PNG or SVG. Scan it with your phone’s camera before you print it. If the link has spaces or non-English characters, encode it first with the URL Encoder.

How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name (SSID) and password and choose the security type, usually WPA/WPA2. Guests scan it with the camera app to join without typing the password. Need a strong network password? Create one with the Password Generator.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes: the link or text is stored in the pattern itself, not on a server. They work for as long as the content behind them stays the same, with no subscription.

Is this QR code generator really free with no sign-up?

Yes. There is no account, no trial, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. Many “free” generators create dynamic codes that stop working after a trial; these don’t.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static code stores the content directly and can’t be changed after printing. A dynamic code points to a short link on someone’s server, so you can edit it and count scans, but it stops working if that service ends.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG works everywhere, from WhatsApp to Word; choose 1024 or 2048 px for printing. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which suits posters, banners and designers.

Which error correction level should I choose?

Medium (15%) suits most uses. Choose Quartile or High if the code will be printed small, outdoors or on curved or worn surfaces; it makes the pattern denser but more damage-tolerant.

Can I make a QR code for plain text?

Yes. Choose Text and type a message, phone number or address. To check how long your text is first, use the Character Counter.
