Image Resizer
Toolvetta’s Image Resizer changes an image’s width and height in pixels. Type a new width or height, keep the aspect ratio locked so the picture isn’t stretched, and download the resized copy in its original format. It runs in your browser, so the image is never uploaded.

Image Resizer: frequently asked questions
How do I resize an image to a specific width and height?
Type the width in pixels and the height fills in automatically to keep the proportions. For an exact size such as 1080 × 1080, turn off “Lock aspect ratio” and type both numbers, but note the picture may look stretched.
How do I resize an image in KB?
Kilobytes measure file size, not dimensions. Reducing the width and height here makes the file smaller, and the Image Compressor lets you go further by lowering the quality. Use both to reach targets like 100 KB or 20 KB.
What size should a photo and signature be for online forms?
Check the form’s instructions first. Common requirements are a photo of about 200 × 230 to 600 × 600 pixels under 50–100 KB, and a signature of about 300 × 80 pixels under 20 KB. Resize here to the pixel size, then compress to the KB limit.
How do I resize an image for a passport photo?
Passport and visa photos are usually square or 35 × 45 mm. Crop the photo to the right shape on your phone first, then type the pixel size your application asks for, such as 600 × 600, here.
How do I resize an image for Instagram or Facebook?
Use 1080 × 1080 for a square Instagram post, 1080 × 1350 for portrait, and 1200 × 630 for a Facebook link image. Crop to the right shape first so nothing gets stretched.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger cannot add detail, so an enlarged photo can look soft or blurry. Whenever you can, start from the original, largest version.
What format is the resized image saved in?
The same format it came in: PNG stays PNG, WebP stays WebP and JPG stays JPG (GIF becomes PNG). The new size is added to the file name, for example photo-800x600.jpg. To change the format, use the Image Converter.
